Ride hard on this gamified exercise bike experience, seen at tradeshows and events, and learn about power conservation.
After a 15-second pedal, BC Hydro’s stationary bikes let riders see what they could power (if they kept riding for a 24-hour period) in relatable terms on a handlebar mounted touchscreen: how many pots of coffee brewed, phones charged, loads of laundry washed, and more. A scoreboard of high scores keeps it competitive, all riding on a central theme of encouraging power conservation.
Working within the constraints of the BC Hydro corporate style guide, I created the UX documentation, user interface, and icon set.
Role — UX/UI design, icon illustration

The bikes travelled with BC Hydro's community team to help spread the message of energy conservation in communities across the province.
